Brief Posting Description


Specific skills and experiences as related to Forestry Service Road construction and maintenance, box culvert and bridge installation, heavy civil earthworks including rock blasting, excavation and fill slopes, and surveying and layout of roads and sites

Manage the contractor's activities on the Night Shift related to Deep Soil Mixing, rock drilling and blasting, soil stabilization and earth moving

Responsible for safety and environmental procedures are adhered to by contractors

Assists the project team by providing input to identify key success factors, timing of design and procurement deliverables, and establishing common work breakdown structures

Provides leadership to cause the creation of organizational structure and processes required to fully execute the requirements of services and is responsible for the execution of Civil services, quality, subcontractor performance, and construction cost.

Evaluates Civil service execution for compliance to contract, design data, schedule, cost budgets, and quality, advising the project team of status, issues, impacts, risk, and cost influence factors on the scope

Monitors the implementation of safety orientations safety indoctrinations and gang box meetings and provides coaching for improvement

Monitors crews for organizational structure sizing crew mix ratios and wage compliance

Reviews and monitors cost and man-hour budget for installation process and develops a staff facilities equipment and tool requirement plan


Detailed Description

Job Requirements


10 – 15 years of industrial construction experience as a superintendent in a cold weather environment.

Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and vendors on a construction site.

Strong project management and organizational skills.

Good communication skills are required.

Knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook required. 

Experience with Primavera Scheduling a plus.


This position will be based in our Kitimat, BC office.  KBR is offering comprehensive assignment conditions for this position.
